Childhood Cancer Foundation was founded
in 1987 as a support organization to help
children with cancer and their families.
They are the only national organization

Meagan's Walk

by a five-year-old child named Meagan.
She was diagnosed with cancer and
lived for mere months after the diagnosis,

Thornhill Woods Haunted House for Sick Kids Hospital
Since October of 2004, The Thornhill Woods Haunted House has been providing the community with a good old fashion cemetery theme outdoor yard haunt that’s packed with elaborate monsters, zombies, animatronics, tombstones, and a laboratory in the garage.
They are only aimed at making the neighborhood a more fun filled experience during the Halloween season. Their yard haunt is totally free of charge, but they ask everyone to donate to The Sick Kids Hospital.
Their 2009 Halloween was the biggest and spookiest year to date. They had over 3,500 Trick r’ Treater’s visit on Halloween night, in addition to approximately 600 children from the Carville Mills Public School and Kids Come First Day Care, not to mention the hundreds of families that came during the week leading up to Halloween. Orca Live
This Wonderful site, brought to you by the Nature Network, allows you to experience nature right on your PC. You may not be able to get to the coast of Hanson Island to watch the Orcas play at, but you can visit them virtually from your PC on Orca Live. Simply download the viewer, and you can see both above and below the water, depending on where the two cameras are pointing. Register to receive alerts when the Orcas are near the cameras.
Or visit Japan and see the turtles on Turtle Live. Unfortunately, the cameras may be down if it is the typhoon season, but you can register for notifications on this site as well, and when the cameras are back up, they will let you know.
Note: the Orca Live project is no longer being funded, but you can still view highlights from previous years, and if you subscribe to their newsletter, you will be alerted if the situation changes.
